There are lots of things I like about this kitchen. It’s low profile if you are looking to tuck the play kitchen in a small space and the sounds really do make playing pretend a lot of fun. It has a good amount of storage space within the cabinets.
A few things I wish were different. The oven door opens like a cabinet which was disappointing. Because of its low profile it is made from materials that are not as sturdy as what I’m used to from Hape. There is a decent amount of plastic and the wood is on the thinner side. Some small details, such as the front edge of the interior shelf being unpainted, could be fixed easily (I’ll paint it myself) but it would be better if it was already done.
Putting it together took a minute but directions were clear. Did it with a manual screwdriver with no problem. The handles were a little tricky to get straight. Make sure the screws go in perfectly straight or the handle will have a warped appearance.
Overall happy with the purchase but probably would have chosen a different play kitchen from Hape if I were to buy again.
