Bring fire trucks, rescue stories and hands-on action together in one three-level wooden fire station. Designed for children ages 3 and up, the Hape City Fire Station includes a fire engine, wooden helicopter, bendable firefighter, rescue dog and firefighting accessories.

Children can activate the alarm and flashing lights, send the firefighter down the spiral pole and pull the string to open the garage doors and move the fire engine into action.

Why Parents Choose It

• Three levels of rescue play with a garage, fire pole, control area and rooftop helipad

• Alarm sounds and flashing lights activated by a rooftop button

• Pull-string garage mechanism that opens the doors and sends the fire engine out

• Spiral fire pole that turns the firefighter while descending

• Fire engine and wooden helicopter included for both ground and air rescue stories

• Bendable firefighter and rescue dog for character-led pretend play

• Mechanical features work without batteries; batteries are only needed for the lights and sounds

• Best For

  - Children ages 3 and up
  - Children who love fire trucks, helicopters and emergency vehicles
  - Pretend rescue missions and firefighter role-play
  - Vehicle-focused children who want more than a single toy truck
  - Families looking for a substantial wooden playset
  - Screen-free imaginative play

Sound the Alarm and Start the Rescue

Press the button on the roof to activate the fire alarm sounds and flashing warning lights. The electronic alarm requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included.

When an emergency begins, children can position the firefighter at the top of the spiral pole and watch the figure turn while descending to the ground floor.

The alarm and lights add cause-and-effect action, while children remain in control of the rescue story.

Launch the Fire Engine

Place the fire engine inside the ground-floor garage and pull the station’s string mechanism. The garage doors open and the fire engine moves out of the station, ready for a pretend rescue mission.

This mechanical feature does not require batteries. Children can repeat the action while inventing fires, animal rescues and other emergency-response stories.

Ground and Air Rescue Play

The included fire engine supports ground-level emergency missions, while the wooden helicopter can land on the rooftop helipad for air rescues.

Children can move between the garage, upper station rooms and helipad while deciding where the emergency is happening and which rescue vehicle should respond.

The station acts as a complete rescue setting rather than simply a backdrop for one vehicle.

Made for Growing Pretend Play

Younger children can begin with simple actions such as pressing the alarm button, moving the vehicles and sending the firefighter down the pole.

As their storytelling develops, they can assign roles, operate the control area, care for the rescue dog and create longer emergency missions across the station’s three levels.

The open-ended design allows children to decide what happens next instead of following one fixed play sequence.

Space and Setup

The assembled station measures approximately 23.6 inches long, 11.8 inches wide and 18.8 inches high. Its three-level design works best in a dedicated play area, on a sturdy play table or on a deep, low shelf.

The assembled playset weighs approximately 11.4 pounds. An adult can move it between rooms, but it is not designed to fold flat for storage.

Adult assembly is required before play.
